House Set To Pass Smaller Health Care Bills

I can see that I’ve turned into a bit of a homebody. A week in the Twin Cities and I’m pretty pooped … which is why everything is going out late this week.

Who would have thought that a week away from home would cause this much exhaustion?

So, health care reform is back. This week, the top story looks like it will be the President’s legislative proposal — which silently says to Congress, “Well, I gave you a chance and you screwed up … ”

We’ll see how he does with this one. I suspect he is wasting his time reaching out to Republicans but they may surprise me. Stranger things have happened, although I can’t think of any right this minute.

And the SBA Office of Advocacy reminds us that the fourth quarter of last year was an economic mixed bag when it comes to the numbers. The fourth quarter indicators seem to indicate that those elusive jobs will continue to be elusive for the foreseeable future.
