Entrepreneurs Overlooked in New Bankruptcy Reforms

Dec 3rd, 2007 | By Dawn Rivers | Category: Podcasts

I only took a week off but it feels like a century, doesn’t it? I’m going to have to line up some podcasts for my usual two-week, year-end break. There will be no Microbusiness News Briefs published on either December 24th and December 31 — for reasons that should be fairly obvious if you live in the Judeo-Christian West — but we’re not going to go that long without a podcast.

Stay tuned.

In pulling together this week’s edition of the microbusiness news, I got the opportunity to do one of my favorite things: I got to have a nice long talk with Don Wilson, president of the Association of Small Business Development Centers. I’ve known Don for almost as long as I’ve been doing this and it was through his nomination that I was awarded the 2003 Small Business Journalist of the Year award for the Syracuse, NY District of the SBA.

It’s nice when I get to do fun stuff that counts as work, too.

Speaking of fun stuff, my conversation with Emily Nash lasted a lot longer than most interviews do but it gave me a not-to-be-turned-down opportunity to get a fascinating glimpse of the photography industry from the inside, recent past and future. After talking to her for awhile, I can’t wait to see Mary’s new pictures …

Oh, and my favorite thing about her web site: when you click on the link titled “Who is Emily Nash?” instead of the bio you might expect, what you find is simply a picture.

That’s perfect.
